Beef Calf Grower (Wagyu) Pellet
Woods Beef Calf Grower (Wagyu) Pellet is a medicated stock feed suitable for feeding recently weaned calves over 140kg live weight or to be fed to calves in a creep feeding situation. It is formulated with high quality proteins, enhanced trace mineral and vitamin inclusions and additional organic Zinc to provide a high quality supplement to growing calves.
Woods Beef Calf Grower (Wagyu) Pellet is composed of milled grains, protein meals/pulse seeds (soybean meal, cotton seed meal, palm kernel meal, canola meal, faba beans, chickpeas and/or mung beans), fibre and other food by-products (hulls, millrun, biscuit meal, etc.), macro-minerals, trace minerals and vitamins. Typically Woods Beef Calf Grower (Wagyu) Pellet contains 30mg/kg Monensin (Rumensin®) sodium, a rumen modifier that helps improve feed conversion.
Feeding Guidelines
Introduce livestock to pellets gradually to minimise the risk of adverse responses such as rumen acidosis, bloating and/or death. As an early weaner feed, supply Woods Beef Calf Grower (Wagyu) Pellet in troughs or self feeders until calves reach 250 kg liveweight.
As a creep feed, supply ad lib in troughs or self-feeders while limiting access of cows to feeders. After that, limit feed pellets between 1 to 2% of body weight depending on quality and amount of available forage to achieve desired liveweight gains of around 0.7 to 1.1 kg/hd/day.
